On September 27, 2025, one of my best friends, Victor Leavitt (17 years old), had a complete engine failure in the plane that he had just bought two days before. He and his flight instructor attempted to make an emergency landing, causing them to total the airplane and put him in the hospital, giving him and his family thousands of dollars in medical bills. But that is not the main reason I am starting this GoFundMe. I have known Victor pretty much my entire life, and I have never seen him or even anybody more motivated, dedicated, and genuinely happy to be doing anything to the point where me and our friends would be forced to change the subject or end our conversations overall because he will talk to you about flying or airplanes for HOURS. Victor spent every dollar to his name on the down payment for the airplane the week before the crash and is pretty much stuck on the ground until he can save up a lot of money to continue his dream of becoming a commercial pilot.
