Help a Loving Husband and Father Fight Pancreatitis and Kidney Infection

Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for an incredible man—Garrett Hendel, a devoted husband and proud father of two energetic and loving boys, ages 4 and 2. Garrett has always been the rock of his family, a hardworking provider, a gentle giant, and a source of strength and laughter for everyone who knows him.

Recently, Garrett was diagnosed with necrotizing pancreatitis. This sudden and life-altering condition has turned his world—and his family’s—upside down. The infection quickly spread to his kidneys, severely limiting their functionality. This rapid spread resulted in Garrett's body shutting down and slipping in to a coma. The prognosis is still unclear but we know he faces a long and difficult road that includes dialysis treatments, countless doctor visits, and the possibility of a kidney transplant.

Despite the physical and emotional toll, Garrett continues to fight with courage and grace. But the financial burden is overwhelming. His beautiful little family recently celebrated the purchase of their first home. Their mortgage, the medical bills, transportation to and from treatment, lost income, and the cost of future transplant-related care are mounting quickly.
