Hi, my name is Megan Munger, and I’m raising funds for one of my best friends, Heather Olinger, following a major spinal injury she received while playing in the latest Gustavus Adolphus College women’s hockey game.

On Friday night during Heather’s hockey game, she was checked from behind and sent head first into the boards. Heather has multiple serious fractures in her spine, but despite this, she can still move all of her extremities! Her neurosurgeon said she must have had an angel on her shoulder.

This is a major surgery, and it would mean a lot to all of her friends, family, and teammates if some more angels are willing to contribute and help her through this difficult and scary time. She’s already undergone three ACL surgeries, and she’s one of the strongest people I know, both physically and mentally. Heather deserves as much generosity as the world can provide her and her family.

This money will be used to satisfy any needs that the Olinger family has during this time, whether it be hospital fees, meals, parking costs, physical therapy bills, or lost wages—whatever they need, we have their back.
