Donate To Help Fund Greyson's Dental Surgery

Hello fellow horse family! My name is Rebecca and I am 16 years old. The barn I have been working and riding at for 2 ½ years is closing. The owner of the barn was forced to rehome multiple horses. I was given the honor to be gifted Greyson. Greyson is a 22-year-old Thoroughbred Quarter Horse cross gelding. I have been riding him for 8 months, and have known him for 2 ½ years; he is the sweetest, gentlest boy ever. Unfortunately, Greyson has been diagnosed with EOTRH. He needs all 12 incisors (top and bottom front teeth) removed. I am looking to my community for help. I have only owned him for 3 weeks and was not expecting a bill like this so soon. His surgery is too expensive for me to pay for on my own.

His procedure will be done at New England Equine Medical & Surgical Center in Dover, NH. The hope is to have all 12 incisors removed at once, as that would be the best for him, but they won’t know if that can happen till the surgery. He will be hospitalized there for 2 nights in early June. The estimate for his procedure is between $3,800 and $4,300. Diagnostic work already done was $600. There will also be follow-up appointments/re-checks, and he will need more frequent dental care.

Greyson has served for many years as a lesson horse and as a high school equestrian team horse with many different riders, doing everything. He is truly the best horse. I don’t know how long he has been in pain from this, but I want to do what's right for him.
