Donate to fund Gregg's surgery
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Leah, and I'm fundraising to cover costs for a hernia surgery for a cat I rescued in mid-March.
I came to know this sweet little kitty (Gregg Almond) because he frequented a honeysuckle bush next to my partner's garage. He was very friendly and always requested pets from us. We noticed Gregg had a large growth/bump on the side of his body. Because of this and his very sweet demeanor, we decided to adopt him and get him some medical care.
Upon taking Gregg to the vet, we learned that the bump on his body is a hernia where his small intestines are protruding outside his muscle tissue. The veterinarian thinks this is the result of Gregg getting hit by a car.
While some cats can live for years without needing medical treatment, hernias can become life-threatening, especially if not addressed or treated immediately.
Gregg is less than 1 year old, and to ensure he lives a long, happy life, I'd like to get him the care he needs. The whole procedure costs around $5000. This includes the consultation fee, radiogram/CT scans, and the surgery itself. I can't afford to pay these bills on my graduate student budget, so I'm crowd sourcing to help get him the medical care he deserves.
All donations would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your help <3
