Hi, my name is Sophie and I'm raising funds to cover emergency vet bills for my beloved pony, Freckles. Freckles and I have been together since I was 6 years old, and I genuinely don't remember my life without him❤️

Why I need help

Recently, Freckles had a devastating fall on concrete and severely injured his pelvis. At 43 years old, this is a serious and painful injury for a senior pony. Without the right care there is a real risk of nerve damage that could result in permanent loss of use of his left back leg. His vet team believe this is something he can recover from with the right care. Despite being an old boy, Freckles has an incredible zest for life and he deserves every chance at recovery.

I am not usually one to ask for help, but recently over half the staff at my workplace were laid off due to budget cuts, myself included. Facing unemployment I cannot cover the cost of his unexpected medical bills on my own. This fundraiser is not about me, it is entirely about giving Freckles the best possible chance at recovery.

We are fundraising for $3,500. The remainder will go towards increased feed costs during his 6-12 week recovery, any unexpected costs, and ongoing prescription refills for medications and supplements.
