We are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking initiative at Will Rogers Middle School, in partnership with Barrett Middle School and Best Buddies International. For the first time in the nation, we are transforming the Best Buddies program from a lunch club into an official elective course. This program is designed to build meaningful one-to-one friendships between students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), offering a unique opportunity to foster inclusivity and personal growth.

Best Buddies provides essential support through its four key pillars: friendship, integrated employment, leadership development, and advocacy. By integrating this program into our school curriculum, we aim to enrich the lives of our students, promoting self-confidence, empathy, and community engagement. Our goal is to create an environment where every student feels valued and included.

To make this vision a reality, we need your support. Your generous donations will help us cover the costs of program materials, expansion of the program to bring in more schools and create more inclusion across the district, and activities that bring students together in meaningful ways. With your help, we can provide a space where students can form lasting friendships, develop leadership skills, and break down barriers of isolation and exclusion.
