Donate to Fix, Vaccinate, and Rehome Aviator Cats
Donation protected
Aviator is a sports and events center in Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, NY. Last summer, I was lucky enough to get a job as a camp counselor. During my short time there, I realized that the loading dock area was also home to a few cats (as seen in the photos), all of which aren't neutered.
I grew a strong bond with these lovely cats, I found out that a man was feeding them every day even before I had started working there, my partner and I had gone once to rescue newborn kittens and put them up for adoption.
A few days ago, Aviator announced that their contract with the National Park Service will soon expire, and the facility will be closing on April 14th.
With the facility closing down, there will no longer be anyone there to feed these cats. My partner and I are in urgent need of rescuing these cats, fixing and vaccinating them, and relocating (potentially putting them up for adoption).
We recently got a head count of four cats however there can be more.
My partner and I are kindly asking for any help we can get to rescue these cats and relocate them. We believe these cats deserve a chance and that starts with getting them fixed and vaccinated, to prevent further reproduction and potential illness. We thank you for reading this and hope you can understand and help contribute to our goal.
Best,
Garcia
