Donate to Fix Lisa's Van and Save Cats

Hi. My name is Lisa and I really need help.
My car died last night on the way to where I have a safe parking location. I am homeless and I live in my car. I work, and my boss allows me to park at work. I did get back to work last night. My van slowed and then quit working. I was able to get mostly clear of travel lanes. Then, two gentlemen towed my van into a safer spot at a gas station. I am near my job, but my car won't pull out and move forward. One gentleman said he thought the engine had thrown a rod. No idea what that means other than it costs more money than I have.
The main reason I need a reliable vehicle is because I take care of feral cat colonies every night. I drive about 30 miles to feed several cat colonies. I have been doing this for several years. There's a lady who will help me for a few days, but she has responsibilities to her family and her own animals, so she is not able to take over for me permanently.
I have searched Carfax and Autotrader for the cost of any nearby vans. What I found was that used vans with no accidents recorded are averaging around $10,000.00 and up. If anyone can help me raise these funds, I will be very grateful. Thank you for any help you can provide.
