Hi Everyone,
As you may know, Felicia has been battling recurring uterine cancer since 2016. She has been through multiple surgeries, chemo, radiation, and rehabs. Anyone who knows her knows she is a fighter and wants to do things her way. After many setbacks, she has chosen to start a 4th round of chemo. The previous chemos and radiation have weakened her bones, causing fractures. The cancer itself is now compressing nerves in her back, causing debilitating pain down her left leg, leaving her unable to walk. This last surgery she had is supposed to alleviate a lot of that pain. As a result, she will be going to rehab again in the hopes of getting back to walking and improving her overall health and strength. This step is needed for her to qualify for this new round of chemo.
This 9-year battle has taken a toll on her mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially. We have now set up a GoFundMe page through Caring Bridge. Her brother Mario will be handling this account and using it for any expenses insurance won't cover—medical bills, extended nursing home stay, and special rides (as long as she can't get into a car on her own) to and from doctor appointments.
Her 3 brothers: Sal, Mario, and Mike have been with her each step of the way, helping her both physically and/or financially. Thanks for all your prayers, encouragement, visits, phone calls, cards, and meals while she was at home. One of us will continue updates as needed on this website.
