Hello everyone! We are a group of teenagers who travelled to Ghana for a month with a volunteer program hoping to put smiles on kid's faces and make a difference in their lives. We taught kids in schools and made bricks to help the community that was damaged by strong weather conditions. But we don't want our impact to end there and want to extend our help outside of our travels. Our group was able to visit Father's House Ghana, a lovely home for boys who were victims of child slavery and trafficking. It was founded by Doctor Jeremiah who is passionate about saving kids from dangerous situations as well as helping kids in the community to gain access to free meals and education.
We built a strong connection with the staff as well as the children from the home and have many similarities in our goals. The house is an amazing place, but there are many improvements that can be made that will greatly benefit all of the boys who live there. This includes building a clinic so that they have easier access to healthcare. No matter how differently our group or Doctor Jeremiah helps, whether it's housing children or teaching them, our only goal is to help. YOU can too! A little goes a long way, no matter what the help is, it's still help.
