Please consider aiding in Farrago Productions' first professional adventure! Founders Jazzma Pryor and Spencer Ryan Diedrick are co-producing the Midwest Premiere of someone spectacular by Doménica Feraud, running Nov. 5th to Dec. 7th at United Church of Rogers Park.

The piece is about a grief support group whose leader, Godot-style, never shows. This circle of 6 near-strangers are left with the prospect of how to spend the allotted time: just pace the room and wait, or pour their bruised hearts out, minus the usual emotional guardrails. This prickly-with-a-gooey-center piece offers a compassionate space for healing and judgement-free discussion, and as such, we hope to offer it as a gift to fellow loss survivors, or as a new perspective / understanding to those yet untouched by loss.

Jazzma and Spencer, longtime friends and collaborators, knew this was the perfect show to bring to our community. For us, the work has been about honoring our own departed loved ones, and the process has been one of much needed connection and healing. Jazzma had no idea that art would imitate life less than a year later with the loss of her mother, much like her character Lily. Spencer was encouraged by his late friend, Rollie, to create the art that he wants to see in our community. Bringing someone spectacular to a beautiful multipurpose room in our own neighborhood of Rogers Park lets us connect intimately with those around us we might never have known, but still carry our same stories.

Please consider donating to help support our production, which launches our new company. We are funding this project ourselves, and every dollar goes into uplifting our artists and creating this space of art and love. Even just the cost of a ticket can go farther than you know. One of our goals is to increase the already decent actor stipends to a living wage.

We are committed to championing our community of brave artists doing top-notch work! For more information and tickets, you can follow this LINK.
