My friend Sarah and her family are dealing with an unexpected family emergency and could use some assistance.

Sarah was urgently admitted to the hospital August 20, 2025 with a unexpected and severe kidney issue; she has one kidney that is extremely enlarged and inflamed due to a terrible infection. While examining her kidney, the doctors discovered several very large kidney stones (three of the stones are 2cm+ in size, three of the stones are over 3cm+ in size) and she was at the edge of being septic when she arrived at the hospital.

Sarah was transferred on August 20th from their local hospital to a bigger and better hospital which is almost two hours from their home.

She has undergone one procedure already and will need at least one more procedure to decrease the sizes of the kidney stones in hopes to somewhat ease the severe pain she is experiencing due to the stones and the infected kidney.

It is unknown as to when she will be discharged as the doctors' decisions change daily.

Sarah's husband Joe has been driving back and forth between their home and being with Sarah at the hospital and in turn has been unable to work the regular hours he normally works which in turn has decreased his paycheck.

They greatly rely on Joe's salary to support their family with five children.

Sarah, Joe & the kids could greatly use your support. The funds will help to pay for the extra amounts of gas being used driving the long distance to and from the hospital, the bills from the hospital as well as groceries for Joe and the kids while Sarah is hospitalized and for school supplies for the kids as they start school the beginning of September and as of now it is unknown if Sarah will be home by that point in time.
