Donate to Fabian Porras' Healing Journey

This fundraiser was created for my brother Fabian Porras to help with medical expenses and routine bills. He was diagnosed with stage 2 cirrhosis of the liver with a nodule that is cancerous and needs to be removed. He also needs more banding of his blood vessels (varices).

On February 23, 2025 he was hospitalized and put on a ventilator. He had large blood vessels in his esophagus that burst causing him to throw up massive amounts of blood. At the hospital he received three blood transfusions. He was intubated immediately and placed on a ventilator for three days. An emergent endoscopy and the some of the varices were banded. He was then transported to another hospital where he remained in ICU for the week.

Going Foward:

-The blood vessels (varices) can rupture again until they are repaired

-The Doctors require him to be seen every two to three weeks until the blood vessels are repaired

-The nodule on his liver needs to be removed because the Doctors told him it was cancerous

-He is struggling to pay his current bills and will now have ongoing medical visits

He is finally out of the hospital but not out of the woods. He needs medical procedures and continuous Doctor visits.

If you know my brother he has a very funny sense of humor. Many people know him because he has helped them with a car, handy work or anything you might need help with. He is a very caring person.

Currently he does not have insurance and is unable to work. He is very limited in his abilities and has a lot of restrictions. I am helping him apply for medical funding but there's no guarantees of it.
