My roommate (Ben A.) and best friend's cat, Tequila, is in critical condition. We brought her into the emergency vets after we noticed she was having a hard time breathing and laying down in unusual places for her. We were told she has a buildup of fluid in her lungs either due to a heart condition or cancer.

She is in critical condition right now and we can only afford to drain the fluid and make her slightly more comfortable. We have nothing to be able to afford finding the underlying cause. Without diagnostics, she has a few days left. Please, this is Ben's best friend and companion for 10 years. We want to have as much time with her as possible.
