The Braid and Beauty Bar LLC is a Start Up business with the goal of becoming a Mobile Salon and Activity Venue that will serve disadvantaged communities in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana areas. Our mission is to provide beauty services to women and children with limited access to brick and mortar salons.

We aim to support individuals and groups in under-served communities by bringing a range of salon services including hair care, nail care, and other beauty services directly to our clients. Our main goal is to serve the elderly, handicapped, shut in, those in the foster care system or shelters, detention centers, minority families, and more.

We endeavor to make this possible by having a full service shuttle equipped to support the self care needs of our clients.

About Me

I, myself, was in and out of shelters starting at a young age. My mother had to work and care for 3 children. Rarely would 'getting your hair combed' be on the top of any list of things to do. It prompted me to learn how to braid hair at the age of 11. Little did I know that my interest in hair would be only the beginning. I have been braiding hair for more than 20 years now and have been able to support so many in the community. I've had the privilege to support the needs of individuals in nursing homes, hospitals, group homes, and more. Furthermore, I want my efforts to grow.

I often see back to school events that offer school supplies and backpacks, resources for parents and barbers for the young men. What I do not see is someone there to support the young ladies. As women, we wear our crowns on our heads. I want to support the children and young adults at these back to school events and even graduations.

At the moment, I am a traveling Braider and I absolutely love it!! My goal is to expand my business by having a mobile salon available to all who could benefit. I would love to go support those in the foster care system, shelters, and more. I want to make hair care and other beauty treatments accessible. I passionately support those who are disadvantaged and plan to assist in this effort for the rest of my days.
