For over 25 years, I've worked in the beauty industry as a cosmetologist, salon owner, freelance hair & makeup artist, and more! I've had the opportunity to work abroad and throughout the United States with the best of the best the beauty industry has to offer. Throughout the years, I've relied on the salon tray to assist me as I created wedding updos, performed hair colors and cuts, and all the services a salon has to offer. However, during my tenure as a creative, I've always felt that there was a way to improve this invaluable tool.

At first, my ideas started as drawings; then, paper and cardboard mock-ups. I had CAD drawings made, I commissioned prototypes, and the most exciting part of this adventure is that after sourcing all of the materials, I began making prototypes myself. My shop grew as I added tools, learned how to paint, learned how to weld, and reinvented ways of constructing this incredible tool.

Not only have I used my prototypes in the salon, but I have made them for other cosmetologists as well. Last year, I gifted a tray to a certain celebrity hairstylist in New York, because I just so happened to do makeup for his team! The tray was used on stage by several of his guest artists at his annual hair EXPO. It got rave reviews and I was asked when they could buy one.

Since the Expo and the Big Reveal, I have hired a web design company to create a unique platform where this tool can be custom ordered. However, there is a little more work to be done on it before it goes live. This project has been very exciting and throughout the years I have been able to invest money as needed, but now, I am at a point where I need help to launch this into reality - I need to move my shop out of my garage and into a bigger and more suitable space so I can acquire materials and take orders!
