Evan was in a serious accident. He had both wrists broken and dislocated, internal bleeding around his pelvic area and a broken pelvis in 3 places, a fractured t11 vertabrae, and a fractured nose. His surgeries have gone well so far, and given there are no complications, he is now on the path to recovery. In about 8 weeks he will need surgery to remove pins and screws in his pelvis, and 2 plates in his wrists. He is in the intensive care unit now at Jackson South Medical Center and is receiving great care by the staff, family and friends. We are hopeful that he will regain full functionality, but permanent disability is possible. He is going to need extensive rehabilitation with professional therapy in a care center.
Evan's current employment is as a traffic clerk of the court at the Monroe County Government Center in Tavernier. His favorite part about his job is when he can help people in distress. His caring attitude and selfless disposition have encouraged many during tough times and stressful situations.
His expenses include his health insurance co-pay, monthly rent, missed salary, utilities, and expenses for travel, lodging, and emergencies over the duration of his 6 month recovery and rehabilitation.
Your support in any way is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
