If you have the privilege of knowing Evangeline Anderson, then you know she is a true Proverbs 31 Woman–always the first one to show up when you need help. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.

In July 2025, Evangeline underwent a uterine biopsy, and the results revealed pre-cancerous cells. A full hysterectomy has been scheduled for October 20, 2025, and her medical team will reevaluate after surgery to determine any additional steps that may be needed..

Although this is considered outpatient surgery, medical care is far from affordable. Mom and Dad do not have medical insurance, and the cost of the procedure alone is $32,000—even after a cash discount. This amount does not include follow-up appointments, bloodwork, medications, or any additional care that may be required. It also doesn’t account for lost income while Mom recovers.

Mom has always been a hard worker, with the strongest work ethic of anyone I know. In recent years, she’s finally been able to enjoy a semi-retired lifestyle. But even while not working full-time, she continues to care for those around her. Her mother, who has Dementia, is in a full-time care facility, and Mom still makes the two-hour drive every two weeks to visit and prepare meals for her father. She’s also been a rock for John as he recovers from Long Covid—researching, traveling, and advocating in the face of a disease that still offers few answers. During that season, the savings they had built were used to support his recovery, leaving little buffer for Mom’s unexpected surgery.
