Hello, my name is Evalyn Diehl. I am a student at KU going for my Master of Architecture and Construction Management. I am now finally more than halfway through this schooling, thankfully, but I still have a bit to go.
In 2019, I had an AFE and subsequent postpartum hemorrhage. This caused some major problems with my health, like Sheehan's syndrome and brain, heart, liver, and kidney damage. My ADHD worsened due to the damage in my frontal cortex. This has made things harder for me in terms of working and school, but I am persistent in all things and so I continue on through it all.
I recently lost my partner, and this has made me lose my job due to not having child care for work. This also makes finding a new job quite difficult as well because this same issue would be there for any other job I take, on top of the need to be flexible for my school schedule. I simply want to finish my degree so that I can make a better life for my child. I am in a difficult place where I don't know what to do other than to ask for help. I don't have any family or friends near me or that can help. The funds that I would receive would go towards books and tuition so that I can complete what I have fought so hard to complete so far.
Here are some of the recent projects I have done and built, and my current course load. I also have a complete cost break down for everything.
