My name is Sarah Abbas, and I'm Amina's sister-in-law. I'm sharing Amina's story to raise awareness and seek support for her family during this difficult time. Amina's strength and resilience inspire me, and I hope to honor her husband's legacy through this effort.
Amina's story:
My name is Amina Abbas, and I'm from Gaza, Palestine. The war that started on October 7th has devastated our lives, leaving destruction and displacement behind. The pain of losing my husband, a compassionate doctor who gave his life while trying to rescue others, is unbearable. He was taken from us just a month into my pregnancy, leaving me to care for our two young sons, Ali and Omar, and now facing this new life without him.
As an 8-month pregnant woman, I'm not only grieving the loss of my partner but also navigating the challenges of pregnancy in a war zone. The stress and trauma are taking a toll on my physical and mental health, and I'm worried about the safety and well-being of our unborn child.
My husband was an amazing father and partner. His dedication to his patients and community inspired me. I remember his kindness, care, and love. His memory drives me to keep going, to ensure our children have a future. We've lost our home, and I'm navigating unimaginable grief alone. Gaza's war zone is suffocating us. We need to leave and start anew in a safe place.
That's why we're seeking help to evacuate Gaza to Egypt, where we can rebuild our lives. The funds would cover evacuation expenses, transportation costs, initial settlement costs, medical care for my pregnancy and newborn, and support for my children. Your generosity would honor my husband's legacy of love and service, giving us hope and a chance to heal.
I'm reaching out for support, not just for myself, but for my children, who deserve a chance to grow up in peace. Your share & contribution would bring us one step closer to safety, stability, and a brighter future. Thank you for considering our plea
