Hi! Most of you are aware that I've been rescuing sweet baby kittens for years. This new one I took in at the beginning of April at 8 days old was a very special one who seemed quite normal at first. However, over the course of the next 3 weeks, I noticed she was not really going #2 normally. After many enemas and stool softeners, thinking it was constipation, it turns out she was born with a very rare birth defect. She was born without a fully functioning anus. Thankfully, we think we may have caught it in time so she will be able to grow normally and hopefully have full function, but only time will tell. Etta James is only 5 weeks old today and doing so well after her surgery. She seems like she hasn't skipped a beat throughout this whole ordeal. (She really is the sweetest thing ever.) This obviously costs my rescue a bunch of money, so I'm hoping to get some donations to help offset their costs! Any little bit will help. Thank you so much in advance!
