Support for Erin & her family

I am writing to ask for help in supporting Erin's recovery from a horrific car accident on April 23, 2025.

Erin is a caregiver in every way. Beyond raising amazing kids, she has cared for grandchildren, extended family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, community members, and animals. Erin is a member of the Catholic faith community and the American Legion and has always prioritized giving to those who are in need, even when she has been struggling herself. Professionally, Erin has also applied her compassionate nature and sense of empathy to emotionally connect with clients and patients, providing comfort during tough times for over 10 years. She currently works in a local hospital as a patient caregiver. Erin is one of the most empathetic, kindhearted, strongest (and yes, stubborn) people I have had the privilege of getting to know.

Erin was med-flighted to a Boston area hospital from the scene of her accident and has been in the ICU since Wednesday. During every step of the way, the first responders and teams at the ER and ICU have all been amazing. Family and friends have been with her daily, but the strain on resources for Erin’s recovery extends beyond her hospital stay. Erin has been the primary caregiver for her two teenage children, as well as other extended family in the household. She provides housing, food, and transportation for her children and supports other family members while working as a caregiver at a local hospital. The costs of maintaining their apartment and providing for the children while traveling to Boston have been financially draining for Erin’s family while they cope with the trauma of her accident and recovery.

Any financial contributions will go directly to cover the costs associated with meeting the basic needs of Erin’s children and help offset transportation costs so that they are able to be with their mom through this difficult time. Erin has been supportive of so many people in her life without expecting anything in return, and we are all praying for her recovery.
