Donate to Erik Lafebre’s Recovery

On June 25, 2025, my cousin Erik Lafebre's life changed in an instant. Erik was driving and lost control of his car and struck a barrier. He was rushed to the hospital where he immediately underwent back-to-back, hours-long surgeries with both his back and front being used as entry points. Erik's injuries are very severe. He arrived with a broken back, crushed aorta in his heart, and a perforated liver, as well as many other scrapes, burns, bruises, and bumps. We are grateful he is alive, but recovery will not be a small task. Erik is looking at what could be a lifelong recovery, and is not even able to hold his own body weight at this time. He is still in unbelievable pain even with medications. Erik is still currently in the hospital.

We are asking for any donation that anyone can make to help Erik's family in this very scary time. Erik has a long road to recovery ahead of him that will affect every aspect of his life as well as his parents' lives, from needing to remodel their house so he can actually get into it (San Pedro coastal houses are not exactly wheelchair friendly, as of now there's no way to even get him to his room down the small hallways), to making sure that Erik has all the resources available to him to increase his chances of a full recovery sooner than later.

Any contribution will go directly to Erik's family to help them prepare for Erik coming home as well as anything and everything Erik will need to recover.
