Our daughter Erica is suffering from a debilitating medical condition that doctors have been unable to treat or diagnose. She has seen several specialists and has a long journey ahead of her, which includes an oncologist, an infectious disease specialist, and the Mayo Clinic. Unfortunately, she is so ill that she had to take a medical leave from work. I am starting this fundraiser for her to help cover medical bills, mortgage payments, and insurance costs. The Mayo Clinic does not take her health insurance, and she would have to self-pay if we end up needing to go that route; the minimum deposit is $5000. Most days, she is so sick she can hardly get out of bed or walk. On good days, she can slowly move around the house. Even traveling to close doctor’s appointments is a struggle for her.

If you would like to send a meal, please contact me first as she is often not hungry due to severe fatigue, pain, and loss of appetite. I’m sure Elaina would appreciate a few home-cooked meals, though soups or food gentle on the stomach would be helpful to Erica.

Please keep Erica in your prayers that one of the specialists can figure out what is wrong, diagnose her, and get her on a treatment plan back to wellness. It is hard to watch our daughter struggle as her physical condition is starting to bring her down mentally and make her feel defeated. Any amount donated will help as we are unsure at this time how long she will need to be on medical leave from work.
