Hi family, friends, friends of friends and random strangers. It’s me Agni or Agnes and as you may know or not know I’m currently in Tanzania and part of the organisation Umoja Maono. The organisation has built two schools in Sinoni, Arusha but they lack access to safe and drinkable water. One of the two schools has access to water from the ground which they use only for washing and the second school is linked with the government’s pipe, making the water some days transparent and others not. I am personally involved with the two schools and passionate in providing them with water filters which will be accessible to our students and their families. There has been many occasions where the kids have been telling me they’re hungry for water and my heart breaks every time. Regardless of my emotions on this, it is a major issue and the first priority set by me for this year. I don’t want to be dramatic but there is not available budget for this initiative that’s why I am asking for your help. Let’s make it happen! We found a reliable partner to do this with which has been providing maasai communities with access to clean water. The organisation is striving for meaningful change change and I couldn’t trust the founders and their work enough. I have interacted with them in many occasions and have seen their work. They’re wonderful. Let’s make it the beginning of access to safe water in Sinoni. The amount I’m requesting to be raised includes two small water filters, their transportation, the expected repairs, a 7 year maintenance and service in addition to the fees charged by gofundme. If the amount raised exceeds the amount requested, the additional money will go toward a third water filter which will be added to the school with the most students giving access to the close neighbourhood too. I will keep you posted on every action we do with the money you have provided us. Transparency is key!
