Hello Friends,
Kim is a 36-year-old living with several auto-inflammatory diseases, including ulcerative colitis, stage 3 hidradenitis suppurativa, rheumatoid arthritis, and degenerative spine issues. These conditions have made all aspects of their life difficult—socially, financially, and existentially. It has taken years to finally get treatment due to insurance denying medication because of costs. They have been repeatedly denied disability as well. Recently, Kim started treatment with Humira after a hospitalization. Despite their medications being fully covered, the financial strain of housing and daily living expenses has become overwhelming, especially with no stable income. They are asking their community and loved ones for assistance.
Why Kim Needs Our Support:
Living with these conditions requires frequent medical appointments and treatments that are essential but time-consuming. The physical toll of their illnesses has made it difficult for Kim to consistently leave their home and manage day-to-day tasks, further exacerbating her social and financial difficulties. Additionally, it will take time for their body to adjust to the medication before they start feeling better. Ensuring that Kim's basic needs are met is crucial so they can focus on their recovery and well-being.
Kim has always been a pillar of support within their community, offering kindness and assistance whenever possible. They miss their friends and being out and about and active. Let's help them get back to doing what they love.
Your contributions will help cover:
Rent and utilities to ensure Kim has a safe and stable home as they undergo treatment
Daily living expenses, including groceries and transportation to medical appointments
Clothes, toiletries, household items, etc.
Everything counts, and every bit of support brings Kim one step closer to stability and improved health. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your network would be immensely appreciated.
Kim is incredibly grateful for the support and love they have received thus far, and with your help, they can continue to recover and improve their quality of life.
