The Fireworks Returning in 2026 – Only with Donations!
Hello Cobbetts Pond Community,
We’re excited to announce that the fireworks are planned to return in 2026 — pending the success of our fundraising efforts to support this cherished community tradition.
As in years past, the Cobbetts Pond Improvement Association (CPIA) fireworks display is entirely funded by donations.
This year, the newly established Fireworks Committee has partnered with Central Maine Pyrotechnics and secured July 3rd as the fireworks date for the next three years. However, full funding must be raised by May 31st of each year to ensure the show can move forward.
For many of us, the fireworks are more than just a night of celebration — they bring together Windham’s largest “cul-de-sac” for an evening of pride, joy, and unity. Whether you’re new to the community or have shared this experience with family and friends for generations, we all agree: it’s a night that reflects the very best of our lake community and its traditions.
The CPIA has committed that all funds raised specifically for the fireworks will go directly toward the display ($23K Covers Barge, Fireworks, and Police/Fire). If we exceed our goal, any additional funds will be applied to the following year’s event. Likewise, if we fall short, all contributions will roll over to support the next year’s effort.
We’re asking each family to consider making a donation that reflects what this meaningful tradition and community event means to them.
Let’s work together to keep this celebration alive for years to come.
Thank you for your support,
The CPIA Fireworks Committee
