I have waited for a hysterectomy for over 10 years. It is finally scheduled for August 26th.
In the last year, things have gotten worse, and I sometimes rely on mobility aids to get around because of crippling pain due to PCOS and endometriosis.
I found Dr. Fogelson at Northwest Endometriosis and Pelvic Surgery this year and scheduled as soon as I could. He's the first gynecologist who has taken me seriously, and I am so grateful.
This last year, I have gone through a divorce, a move, one major surgery in February, and as of August 1, lost my job due to budget cuts. All of my savings are depleted, and you cannot be on unemployment while on medical leave. Recovery is expected to be about 8 weeks long.
I don't want to lose this chance to be pain-free for the first time in my adult life.
Funds will be used as follows:
$5,200 Hysterectomy and Endometriosis Excision
$1,500 Student loans and car payment
$1,300 Bills and groceries
If you can't help monetarily, I am always down for a meal or some company as I recover. Any extra funds will pay for wet food for my #1 support cat, Pribs.
