Hello dear friend. This is my story of ending my homelessness. Thank you for reading.
My name is Michelle Rose. I am 57 years old. Last April 2024, I was evicted from my 2-bedroom apartment in Phoenix. The monthly $1,600 rent was being paid by my daughter's SSI benefits, which ended last March 2024, when she turned 18. I have been without permanent housing since then. I've been blessed to have been able to stay with friends and family until I can get back on my own again. This help lasted for several months, but I had to find shelter in January of this year.
I just lost housing from a second shelter I started living in two months ago and with it $2,000 in shelter financial assistance. I just need to save up enough funds for move-in costs, hiring movers, etc.
In addition, I recently started working for the State of Arizona, so I have the income to maintain my new life housing, just not starting it. However, I haven't been able to save money from my job because I spend most of my money on hotel rooms. Living in my car is not an option because my air conditioning is not working.
Also, I haven't seen my beloved cats in months. They are living better than me right now, lol!
Lastly, I am not comfortable asking for financial assistance for anything. It's been a whole year and a half since I've been without stable housing, and I truly need your help to make this nightmare end.
I thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness!
Much love and gratitude,
Michelle Rose xo
