My name is Kevin Andrews, and I am a retired Grain Miller from BCTGM Local 3G. As the Vice President of Local 3G, I have had the opportunity to represent these fine members from Knappen Milling Company. For quite a few contracts, the company has refused to deal with many safety issues, as well as held back any form of respectable wage increase.

These strong brothers of BCTGM Local 3G have decided that it is time to stand up to fight and earn the respect from their employer. These members are out for unfair labor practices as it pertains to safety proposals as well as bad faith bargaining. The employer has terminated an employee for joining the union and refuses any type of union security language, even though the language was only removed in 2013 due to the passage of the right-to-work laws in Michigan. I am asking for donations to cover the cost of supplies to hold the line, as well as help supply these men and their families with daily household needs as they stand to make better working standards for themselves and by extension the rest of the community.
