My name is Maddy Walsh, and with my cousin Pierce, I started this campaign to raise funds for our friend Calya Lea to buy a quality acoustic guitar. She’s one of the most talented folks we know, she’s incredibly prolific, we believe in her, and she deserves a good guitar to write and perform with. A day after we started the campaign (before we were fully funded and could tell her about it) she met a friend at Ithaca Guitar Works who helped her buy a $900 Martin that she’s very happy with. (What timing!) I’d like to keep the campaign going so she can still get the full amount and now use the rest to record a single, which on a average right now costs about $1,000 (plus the cost of distribution.) We all need a little help from our friends here and there. Let’s drive this campaign home, and get her the $2,000!
