Donate to Empower a Future Art Therapist

It's happening! My dream to become an art therapist is real life! After an incredible and rigorous experience at Loyola Marymount University, I am leaving with my Master's in Marital Family Therapy with Specialized Training in Art Therapy. My graduation is May 18th and I will be thinking about all my loved ones that have supported me through this journey - thank you.

Some folks have asked me what I need/want for a graduation gift. I have all the material things I need at the moment, but there are upcoming necessary expenses that are a part of pursuing this career. It would be tremendously helpful if you could donate toward these expenses that will allow me to get that amazing job waiting for me... these are all necessary steps toward getting my license to practice:

Provisional Art Therapy Application: $60

Associate MFT Registration: $150

CA Law & Ethics Exam: $150

P.O. Box: $248

(the p.o. box is necessary so clients can't have access to my home address when viewing my license, which is public - it's for safety!)

In addition to these expenses to advance me in my career, I also had a bummer of a big and unexpected expense come up with my car... my fresh-out-of-school budget can't handle it. The cost of that is $500... yes, I know, ouch.

I want y'all to know that being an art therapist is my heart's work. My hope is to find a position where I can support adolescents that are struggling with self harm and suicidality... I know it's a heavy, and I feel a calling to serve this population.
