CLOSING EMILY'S GO FUND ME - August 12, 2022 update

Dear Family and Friends, With good news, love and appreciation, we are officially closing the Emily Totten Breast Cancer GoFundMe. As you know, Emily Totten was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer last November. She has warrior-ed through treatment and surgery over the last 10 months. After her Breast Conserving surgery in early June, it was clear that she had a complete response to the chemo! Emily just finished a round of radiation and will continue with immunotherapy until at least the end of the year but she is feeling good and so glad to have the hardest part in the rearview mirror. She has started working part-time and is enjoying adventures with the boys this summer. Emily, Craig, and the entire Totten family is overwhelmed by your donations, support, and kindness. You all showed up for Emily and this loving community has helped in so many ways — including easing some of her family's financial burden and stress. Many of you have heard that Emily Totten was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. She has a triple-negative tumor and in combination with her young age, she is a high-risk patient. Emily began an intensive 18 month treatment plan right after Thanksgiving.

 

This news is devastating and a lot to process right now. The cost of treatments creates significant financial concerns.

 

Emily is beloved to so many who are eager to help. Therefore, Emily Totten's sister-in-laws have organized this GoFundMe so that the loving community surrounding Emily can collectively ease some of her family's financial burden and stress.
