Hey, my name's Emily Joubert, and I'm 18 years old. I've never made a GoFundMe, so I don't really know how this works. However, I'm trying to raise some money to help with bills and to cover my brain surgery. I have a brain tumor on the right temporal lobe of my brain that is currently growing at a slow speed and is squishing one of the blood vessels in my brain. We found the tumor after I hit a deer in my car back in June of 2024 and have been monitoring it since then.

In August, I was hospitalized for three days at UT Health Tyler, Texas, for having spells of falling unconscious and biting my tongue, along with other things. After being there for three days and being on heart monitors, they told me the tumor was stable and said that it was heart problems. (Mind you, I've never had issues with my heart.) After being released, I went to this amazing neurologist who, in turn, told me that those "spells" were seizures. My neurologist then referred me to a different neurosurgeon three hours away from where I live. I just went and saw that neurologist who said that the man who previously looked at my scans was wrong for saying that it was heart problems and that he wants to remove the tumor in order to stop my seizures and remove the pressure on my blood vessel. If I don't get the surgery within 6 months, I'll most likely a stroke.
