Aloha Friends...

The car gods have not been smiling down on me lately! After replacing all of the tires and repairing the brakes on my car over the summer, the radiator unexpectedly began leaking, and blew out the head gasket last week. The dealership quoted me a repair price tag of 2X-3X the value of the car, if it was in good, working condition. Thankfully, close friends offered me their mechanic's contact info, both mechanics declined the work. One was honest enough to tell me that it wasn't worth fixing.

I am a retiree living on Maui (a bit of a oxymoron due to the extreme high cost of living here), with a small photography/videography, salsa dance instructor side business, unable to burden the catastrophic cost of buying another car. I am reaching out to my super generous friends to help me get back on my feet and onto some reliable wheels. If you would prefer to provide the funds as a loan, let me know, although I cannot provide a payment schedule at this time.

Thankfully, a friend has lent me his beater pickup indefinitely, so I am getting around. He does have plans for this vehicle and will need it back soonish.
