This Go Fund Me has been created on behalf of Ellis Nelson and his family.

In late August, Ellis returned home from his short start at Central Washington University for fall football. After being evaluated in the ED, he subsequently was referred to Fred Hutch Cancer Center. We are awaiting on the definitive diagnosis, but are certain the treatment will be long and has a battle ahead, but one that he can and will win.

We are raising funds to allow Ellis and his family to focus on recovery and healing and to help alleviate some of the financial burdens of medical treatments. The funds raised through this will support the direct care and support of Ellis, time off from work for Holly and any miscellaneous day to day living costs, such as paying for a house cleaner, etc.

Update as of Oct 6, 2024: Ellis received his final pathology last week which confirmed a diagnosis of Burkitt Lymphoma. This is an aggressive blood cancer.

Ellis has completed his first round of an expected eight treatment cycles. For each cycle, he is admitted for five days of chemo infusion.
