Hi, my name is Elizabeth, and I’m a single mom living in Mandeville, working two jobs to support my son Eli. I’ve never done anything like this before, but after the past couple of weeks, Josh & I realized we can’t do it all alone.
I was recently hospitalized due to another episode of Afib (atrial fibrillation), a heart arrhythmia I’ve struggled with before. This time, doctors referred me to an electrophysiologist who will now be following me for the rest of my life, and they are recommending a cardiac ablation procedure to help manage my condition. Not long after I was discharged, my six-year-old son Eli had a bad fall off his bike and broke his arm (a supracondylar fracture of the distal humerus). He was put in a cast this week, but the doctors are watching it closely and there’s a chance he may need a second cast or even surgery to realign the bone with pins.
Neither of my jobs offers health insurance nor does Josh's, and between my hospital bills and Eli’s emergency room visit and follow-up care, the medical expenses are piling up fast. I’m reaching out to our Mandeville community with a humble heart, asking for any support you may be able to offer. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or even just keeping us in your thoughts, I’m so grateful for anything you’re willing to give. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
