Hi friends and family,

On April 29, 2025 Elaine suffered a large brain bleed which required urgent surgery and a week-long stay in the ICU. That was the hardest, scariest week of our lives. She is now in inpatient neuro rehabilitation, where she will be for the next few weeks regaining her strength and ability to perform her basic daily activities. She has a long recovery ahead of her.

As you may know, she was just months away from retiring and moving to her new home in Phoenix. Her children are working to prepare her house for her arrival. We want her to have a comfortable place to continue healing and spend time with her grandchildren. Funds will go to renovations of her townhome and any extra care and services that she might require to continue living independently in the coming months.
