Hi I’m Elaina and I’m a Blind, HoH, Disabled, domestic violence and 3x cancer survivor. Otys is my best buddy. We moved from Colorado to Virginia a little over two years ago.

Two years ago, Otys began licking and scratching himself raw. The ableist vet insisted he had fleas despite him being on flea and tick medication. Because of that, further treatment is NOT been covered by his pet insurance. Turns out, it’s common for dogs to have allergies when moving. It’s even more prevalent in bully breeds. His second vet has been helping him, but the cost of his medication is a minimum of $130.00 a month at Costco. He also has to have food without beef or chicken because he’s now allergic to those. Also, a common thing that happens to bully breeds.

The reason for this GoFundMe is that in taking care of Otys, I’ve let other bills lapse. You’ve made possible/I owe:

$40/$214 to cellphone bill so that I can get a more accessible phone for the Blind

$85/$170.86 to WiFi bill past due

$240/$1031.61 to gas, water, and trash to prevent disconnection

$163.37 to electric has been PAID IN FULL!!!

$1785.98 taxes past due as of March 15, 2025

$35 specialty diet food for Otys monthly

$130 apoquel for Otys monthly

$75 flea and tick medicine every 3 months; due June 5, 2025

$45 groomers for Otys to get his nails trimmed; needed immediately.

There’s also my credit cards, but I’ve either closed them or gotten them on payment plans.

I have applied for utilities help and been rejected TWICE. I’m doing all that I can to support myself and my dog on my disability. I just need a little help catching up. Please consider donating $10 to help me be able to keep Otys and my utilities on!
