I am reaching out to you to ask for support from our community. El Mercadito, a unique, year-round traveling pop-up market dedicated to highlighting and uplifting the Latine community in Columbus. Our market is more than just a place to shop—it's a vibrant hub that fosters connection, celebrates our rich cultures, and supports local artists and small businesses.
At El Mercadito, we provide a welcoming and inclusive space where the diverse Latine Hispanic community can come together. Our market showcases local talent, offers delicious traditional foods, and presents opportunities to learn about and celebrate our cultural heritage through music, art, and community events.
But our commitment extends beyond the market. Throughout the year, we organize and support a range of community-driven initiatives:
- Back-to-School Drive in July to ensure every child has the tools they need for success.
- Food Drive in partnership with Mid-Ohio Food Bank in September to help combat food insecurity.
- Winter Coat Drive in October to provide warmth for those in need during the cold months.
- Toy Drive with Buckeye Ranch in November to bring joy to children and families during the holiday season.
We rely on the generosity of our community to continue these vital efforts and to keep El Mercadito thriving. Your donation will directly support our mission to create a safe and nurturing environment for cultural exchange and to expand our outreach initiatives.
