Hello Friends and Well Wishers

My name is Eunice Akoth and I am the founder of Muanzo Mpya a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya. Kibera is the largest slum in Africa and the size of Central Park housing over 500,000 people with a lack of basic needs beginning from education, sanitation, water, and housing to employment.

Muanzo Mpya strives to give members of the Kibera community extraordinary opportunities by highlighting and bridging the gap between available resources and the community's unique needs, fostering sustainable development and empowerment. Education is the cornerstone of our mission and we believe everyone should have access to quality education. As part of our commitment to the Kibera community, we strive to sponsor the brightest and most at-need middle school graduates to continue pursuing their high school education.

This year we are happy to have 6 full-time sponsored students through our program attending some of Kenya's best national high schools. School fees for these students run from $300 to $900 fulfilling all their school requirements including housing, food, stationary, uniform, and so forth for a full year. These students continue to prove themselves academically and socially and every day beating the adage that where you come from does not define who you are. Kindly support our efforts in making sure that Muanzo Mpya continues to change the lives of more youth through education by ensuring they have all the resources they need to be successful members of the society that outsiders normally diminish by how it looks. There is more to Kibera than what meets the eye and the people have so much untapped potential waiting to be unlocked
