Donate to Ease Tina and Willie Brogdon's Emergency Expenses

This GoFundMe is being set up to help ease the financial burden of Tina and Willie Brogdon’s expenses while they are staying in Birmingham so Willie can receive a lifesaving procedure.
In January 2025, Willie was admitted to the hospital due to a sudden illness that really affected him. After a lengthy hospital stay, he was released, but they didn’t really have any answers. Over the course of the next few months, his condition worsened, and it was finally discovered that his liver was shutting down. The doctors let us know that his body was attacking itself, and it had done too much damage to his liver, and he needed a transplant. That brings us to where we are today: Waiting on that lifesaving transplant. Willie is in the ICU at UAB at this point.
Willie has already overcome so much in the last 6 months, and he continues to fight every single day.
He is a strong-willed, hardworking, and resilient man who loves his family and loves life. From camping and motorcycle rides to picking out the best Halloween costumes with Tina and the grandkids, he is always searching for a fun time spent with his family. He never misses the chance to help his community, which he expressed during his years at Catoosa County Animal Control, as well as contributing to the annual Stockings Full of Love events.
His wife Tina is an example to us all. Her personal strength is unlike any I have ever witnessed before. Her steadfast nature, selflessness, and ultimately, her love and care that she has for her husband and family is unmatched.
This family is well-loved by all who know them, and they are always quick to help wherever there is a need.
A few months ago, with the news of his illness, Willie made the difficult decision to retire early from the position of Director of the Catoosa County Animal Control. Tina has been and is still diligently working from any place she can set up her work computer in the hospital room, maintaining their currently single-income household. They are having to pay out of pocket for a hotel room, medical costs, personal expenses, etc. They are expected to be down here for between 60-90 days, so those costs really add up quickly.
Even if you are unable to donate a single penny to help, I simply want to ask that you send up a quick prayer, send good vibes, or even send this wonderful family a message to let them know you are thinking about them. That would mean the world to us.
