UPDATE…

My brother Tim sadly lost his battle (fighting vehemently to the end) with cancer. The donations, prayers and words of kindness were appreciated more than you could know.

Donations will still be accepted for a short time to cover final expenses for Tim.

My brother, Tim was diagnosed with stage four cancer less than a month ago (he’s only 65). He has been sick for about a year, but unfortunately, he was not accurately diagnosed until just a couple of months ago. He has been going to doctors and ERs over the last year, continually being told he has acid reflux or just a virus. After going to a different hospital with better resources, he was told he had several lesions on his liver and needed to see an oncologist immediately. We were able to get him in quickly, and the doctor immediately scheduled him for a liver biopsy with results confirming the stage four cancer. He was then sent for a PET scan last week, and the cancer has metastasized to other areas.

He was told he has 6 to 9 months without any treatment or with treatment that could add an additional 3 to 6 months.

He has worked all this time as sick as he was, and his doctor told him Friday he had to quit his job immediately because physically he could no longer work due to the advanced stage of cancer and quick deterioration of his body.

We have applied for disability for my brother, but those funds (once approved) will barely cover anything.

My brother has Medicare that will cover the cost of some of the treatment, but there are still co-pays for each treatment, doctor visits, medications, etc. In addition to that, he has to worry about daily living expenses (rent, utilities, groceries, etc.).

These are the last things anyone should have to be worrying about during this time.

My brother is a proud man and has always made his way in the world (not one to ask for help), but this is the time he can use support, care, and prayers, so I’m asking for help for him.

We believe in the power of prayer and humbly ask for anything that might help.

UPDATE…

Tim is still fighting the fight against cancer but still needs help. Unfortunately Chemo is not really an option at this point as we’re told it would most likely make things worse.

Tims Dr is trying different medications and they are very expensive and sadly hard to find.

Finances are extremely tight right now with medical bills, transportation, medications and basic needs (rent, food, etc).

Tim is suffering so much, his only joy is watching TV and having his beloved dog “Jake” by his side.

It’s still unknown as to how long Tim has, (only God knows that) but our hearts break as we see him suffering and worrying about his finances. This should be one thing he shouldn’t have to be worried about.
