This is the first time I have ever done anything like this, but I felt it was the right time.

It is with broken hearts that we share the loss of our dear friend, Eric Shanklin, who passed away yesterday evening after a courageous battle with cancer. Eric was the kind of person who brought joy, laughter, and light to every room he entered. His love for life was infectious, and he touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Above all, Eric was a devoted family man. His wife, Felour, was the love of his life, the apple of his eye. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising two incredible children who are finishing high school. Despite the challenges they faced, Eric and Felour also ran a small family business, pouring their hearts into it.

We are asking for your support to help Eric’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go towards easing the financial burden on Felour and the kids, allowing them to focus on healing and honoring Eric’s memory. Of course, Shannon and I would never ask you to do something that we would not do ourselves, so know we have given to the family as well.
