My friend S is a single mother who has been caring for her daughter M's 24/7 during M's emergency hospitalization for weeks on end. After being rushed to the hospital via ambulance and admitted, M had to endure multiple intense medical tests and procedures, some under anesthesia. The doctors at the hospital found extremely high levels of inflammation in M’s body that might have caused her painful physical and mental health deterioration for many months. But they were unable to determine the root cause of this inflammation in her body and M’s symptoms are still ongoing. In addition, M was accidentally injured during one of her medical procedures, which caused her additional complications, more weight loss, and extreme physical pain. M is still experiencing ongoing pain from this injury with minimal improvement.
M is unable to eat solid foods and survives on prescribed life-sustaining nutrition shakes only. Imagine your teenage daughter unable to eat, function, or rest. Constant panic attacks and unbelievable pain. After a half dozen visits to the emergency room, and waiting over 12 hours for an inpatient bed, mom and M were hopeful that the doctors would be able figure out a treatment for M's symptoms, but to no avail.
After daily tests, blood draws, x-rays, invasive procedures, and stressful weeks in the hospital, M was discharged without answers against their wishes. Now S will be seeking care with specialty immunologists and naturopathic care, since typical western medicine has failed. M’s constant panic attacks and inability to eat have taken a toll on both, mother and daughter. Mom is literally at M’s bedside constantly, with M screaming in agony day and night, mom being unable to leave M out of sight or leave the house to get groceries.
Plus, S was unable to earn any income while M was hospitalized, so she has accumulated many bills that urgently need to be paid. I cannot imagine the stress of their situation, and in the midst of their struggle the financial demands on top of it all.
We all need help sometime in our life. Can you assist with a small donation to relieve some of their extreme burden at this most difficult time of their lives? If you cannot do that, please send your uplifting thoughts, prayers and good energy to them to find answers soon. Thank you!!
