Robert was diagnosed with rectal cancer. In just the beginning stages of treatment, the cost has already become overwhelming. Robert will have a CT and MRI on 3/31 to determine the stage. The doctor has informed us he is sure it is past stage one but will know more after the tests. Robert is currently in a lot of pain. He will have surgery on 4/1 to temporarily help with this. Unfortunately, the surgery isn’t to remove the cancer as with this type, that is a last resort. It is expected for him to have chemo and radiation, and if that is not successful, they will then attempt to cut it out.
