Hi, I'm Kate and along with my sister Megan, we are setting up a go fund me for our sister, Rachelle, as she navigates through her cancer journey.
In August 2023, an MRI on Rachelle’s lower back revealed a large tumor. Just a month later, in September, she underwent surgery to remove her left kidney, and pathology confirmed it was stage 3, grade 4 clear cell renal cell carcinoma. After a few months of recovery and close monitoring, new nodules were found in her lungs in May 2024 — a heartbreaking sign that her cancer had metastasized.
Since then, she has been through an exhausting series of scans, surgeries, and treatments. She began her first round of cancer treatment in May 2025, receiving a combination of two powerful medications over several cycles. Unfortunately, one medication had to be paused due to complications and inflammation that left doctors uncertain whether it was a treatment reaction or disease progression. Despite these challenges, she continues to fight with courage and faith while awaiting her next scans and appointments later this month.
The physical toll has been heavy — fatigue, inflammation, and severe joint pain have made it impossible for her to continue working since July 2025. She is currently battling both her illness and the ongoing struggle to secure disability benefits. This has created a significant financial strain as she tries to manage rent, utilities, gas for medical appointments, and basic necessities.
Your support — whether through donations, gift cards, or even sharing this fundraiser — will help ease the burden and allow her to focus on what matters most: healing and recovery. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference and helps her take one step closer to stability and peace during this incredibly difficult time.
If you’d like to give in another way, gift cards or Venmo contributions are also deeply appreciated. Please message for address or Venmo information. Thank you for standing beside her in this fight and for showing her she’s not alone.
