Donate to Ease Patti Sloan's Medical Burden

Raising funds for medical expenses for my dear friend Patricia (Patti) Sloan. Goal of $10,000.

I am asking for donations to help with medical expenses for my friend Patti as she navigates life with a terminal illness. Her current regimen of medication alone is costing her $1200 per week.

Our story - Patti and I met about 29 years ago when my first born son went to daycare at 3 months. Patti was the assistant and we hit it off immediately. She left the daycare to care only for my son. Two years later we started our own daycare in my home and Circle of Friends was born. Together we helped many local families care for their children.

Patti is more than my friend- she is my family. I’ve watched her struggle with the effects of this illness offering support, but frankly feeling helpless. Her condition took a very serious turn recently and she spent close to two weeks in the hospital - not knowing for the first few days if she would recover then thanking God when she started responding to the medication.

She is home now and on an intense medication regimen for at least 5 weeks. The cost to her for just this medicine after insurance is $1200 per week. This does not consider the cost of all the other medication she continues to take to help with all her symptoms.

Though I cannot ease her physical pain I will do what I can to minimize her financial burden so she can focus on recovering and enjoy some quality of life. We know there will continue to be complications down the road as this disease continues to take its toll - but there is a window right now where I have my dear friend back and I do not take that for granted.
