In December 2023 our mom was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Two months later she was diagnosed with secondary cancer; lung cancer. Just a few months ago she was diagnosed with metastatic liver cancer. My mom went from living independently and working a full time job; to within months having to quit her job, give up her home and moved in with my sister. She has no life insurance, nor does she have a retirement savings. She has some expensive co-pays for her medication and palliative care. The money raised here would go to her and help her pay for the bills she has and things she may need to live more comfortably as she has chosen not to fight the cancers war any longer, as well as funeral expenses.
